The world must be coming to an end

May 15th, 2009 (02:57 pm)

My mom just set up a facebook account *blink blink*

She's afraid of her computer and the internet.

Wow.

*phew* It's over

Happy Birthday to [info]phaoray !!

I hope that you have an awesome day.

(I suspect most likely your awesome day will be filled with work, and lifting weights at the gym. I hope it's all good.)

Random update....

The semester is almost over!! Yay!! I'm not overly stressed and nor am I preparing for burnout. Yay!! Hm... it makes me question if indeed my classes were easier this semester, or if I didn't take on too much. I feel like I'm getting better at portion control, in regards to responsibilities. I didn't join a club. I wasn't on a committee. I wasn't planning a wedding.

I'm starting a garden. I'm growing Brussel sprouts, and lots and lots of herbs. Hopefully I don't kill them, and hopefully they don't die an early death by way of my cats. (I don't understand how one of my cats won't eat meat off of a plate but will eat every plant that gets brought into the house, maybe he was a vegan in a previous life.)

Joe and I are going to visit Seth and V in a few weeks. I'm very excited about taking a vacation. I've never been to Vancouver before, or Canada.

A new game of Diplomacy has been started through email. I'm really enjoying it. Compared to last time I played Diplomacy I feel like I have a better grasp on strategy and interacting with the other players.

I've started attending a Quaker Meeting (church). I'm really enjoying it. It's very calming. I feel more like an equal participant then some of the other churches I've attended. I really appreciate the quite mediation and reflection on God. There is no pastor, so there's no church hierarcy and political power struggel to get disgruntled over. Not that Quaker meeting doesn't have leaders in the meeting, but it's stripped of a lot of pomp. I enjoy the bare minimalism of it.

Not much else is going on.....

I'm at work.

Visiting Charlotte

So I'm in Charlotte visiting my family and friends.

I was slightly disgusted when I realized that my parents were diagnosed with a bad case of republicanism. I truly knew it was incurable when I saw the appreciation support glossy 8 1/2 x 11 picture with John McCain and Sarah Palin’s signatures.

So sad.

I went out to dinner with some of my old class mates. That brought out some interesting thoughts...

It's Christmas. Yay! Oh so very exciting. Joe refused to wake up before 9 AM. I'm waiting for him to rise from his slumber.

I love Christmas.

I hope everyone else is having a stress free, drama free Christmas.

On a side note.... Martha Stewart is on myspace advertising mixers ... WTF?
